Our Stones & Pearls

We choose the gemstones and pearls we use very carefully and acquire them from only ethical and sustainably sourced suppliers. We believe in only using the highest quality materials to create heirloom quality jewelry that will last for many years to come.
Please note that because the stones and freshwater pearls we use are natural entities, each is a little different.  We do our very best to select similar stones when adding them to a piece.
Some believe that gemstones and pearls can assist in mindset and mood, and have other transformative properties. If you don’t, then they are just beautiful, natural stones and pearls to wear and enjoy! Learn more about the gemstones and pearls we use here.

Our Metals

  • 14k Gold Fill: "Gold-Fill" legally requires 5% pure 14k gold by weight. It is a US industry standard and is a strictly regulated process that involves pressure bonding multiple layers of solid 14k gold to a core of high quality jeweler's brass with extreme heat. This results in a durable, high quality real gold product that resists tarnishing and can be worn for many years. It is an ideal choice for those who want a quality 14k gold product without paying the price for solid 14k gold. 14k gold fill is nickel free and hypoallergenic.
  • .925 Sterling Silver: This is an alloy made of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper. Sterling silver is meant to be worn every day. When silver comes in contact with oxygen it will oxidize and darken. There are a coupe of remedies for this. If you wear your sterling jewelry regularly, the friction of your skin and the oils your skin naturally produces help to slow the oxidizing process greatly.  If your piece does begin to oxidize, learn about how to care for your sterling jewelry here. Sterling silver is nickel free and hypoallergenic.
  • Pure Copper: The copper we use is 100% solid copper and will naturally patina over time if not lacquered. We automatically lacquer our copper pieces so they retain their beautiful color for years to come. Lacquering also helps to guard against any irritation for those that may have reactions to copper. There is no guarantee that lacquering will completely prevent a reaction from happening, as each person and their skin's reactiveness is different. We also offer the option of not having your piece lacquered. If you choose a non-lacquered piece, then the copper will naturally patina over time. Copper is nickel free.

Each person has a different body chemistry, along with varying PH levels. None of the metals we use contain nickel, though it is still possible you could have a reaction based on your specific sensitivities.  Our 14k gold-fill has a thick layer of solid 14k gold over a core of jeweler’s brass, making it ideal for most people with sensitive skin.
