HOW IT ALL STARTED...

It all started in 2003 when I couldn't find the perfect jewelry to wear with my bridesmaid dress for my brother's wedding.  I went to a local stones shop and immediately felt at home. Surrounded by so many beautiful, natural stones and the metals that complimented them, I learned a few basic techniques and before I knew it, I was hooked.  Self taught from that moment on, it was at my kitchen table that the roots of The Violet Opal started growing.

Fast forward to 2023, and my dream of turning my love of designing and creating simple, artistic jewelry full-time became a reality when The Violet Opal was officially launched! Proof that it is never too late to follow your dreams and make one of your passions your life's work!

Speaking of passions, another one of mine is music. You'll see that reflected in the name of each design as a nod to great songs and killer albums!
